Description MATERIALS: Synthetic cloth, cotton threads, cotton threads, mirrors, rickrack and buttons.
CONSTRUCTION: Hand stitched, embroidered: back, square chain, interlaced, couched, back stitches.
MOTIFS: Ardho dhabo, tak bawaliyun, limbudi tak, mokre and devdi.
COLOURS : Red print body, blue edges, multi coloured threads.
STYLE REMARKS: The body of blouse is made from screen print of traditional bandhni. Synthetic versions of traditional cloth were introduced by merchants in 1980's.
CULTURAL SIGNIFICANCE: Traditionally young girls wore backless kapadu without gathers until they were married.
CULTRUAL REMARKS: Cloth and embroidery style remains same regardless of age.
